Marietta Pizza Company – The Square

GRADE: D

Food – I got a meatball parmesan sub here. I can’t really put my finger on any one quality that was bad, but it wasn’t very enjoyable. It just wasn’t tasty. Everything just seamed cheap. Plain bread, unseasoned frozen meatballs and some processed cheese thrown on there. It was just simple and too simple to be enjoyable. Food gets a C-

Ambiance – Eh it was fine. Maybe a little outdated but nothing too bad. Hard wooden tables and booths, an old tile floor that seems a bit dingy, and they went with a bit of an unfinished and cluttered walls look too. It seems like a place trying to be a dive in a place that could never be a dive. Ambiance gets a C-

Service – This was the only thing I really had a complaint about. Our server was slow and hardly talked. She seemed to make it a game to say as few words as possible. We also came in at the tail end of lunch service and many people were clearing out. So while there was a good amount of people there when we sat, before we even ordered most had cleared out. She still was scarce and when waiting on our check, she was just hanging out at the bar talking to a coworker. Service gets a D

Price/Quality - $6.50 is a good price for a sub although I didn’t really like this one. I’d say the prices are below average and so is the quality. So maybe it’s priced appropriately? Price/Quality gets a B-

Uniqueness – There are so many pizza shops around and many offer unique items, services, or ambiance but this one fails to differentiate itself from any other place. I think the location has made it popular and I hope the pizza outshines the subs, but other than that, I can’t see a reason to go here. Uniqueness gets an F

Maybe you should have tried the PIZZA? That’s a no-brainer.

Perhaps but at the same time a restaurant shouldn’t serve anything that isn’t good. I should be able to pick anything on the menu and enjoy it if you are truly a good restaurant

I would agree with that unless it is a specialty restaurant like a pizza restaurant. Your previous food review of a pizza restaurant was on their pizza.
