Zoes Kitchen – Buckhead

GRADE: B-

Food – I had the Zoes Club Pita. It included grilled chicken, ham, swiss, lettuce, tomato, and spicy mustard. Their website touts that they deliver fresh ingredients through the back door everyday, but I remained wholly unconvinced. I’m not saying they aren’t fresh but if they are, they aren’t the highest quality. Putting that aside, whether the ingredients are fresh or not, the combination of ingredients they use can make for some very tasty dishes. My chicken was very juicy and tender and my spicy mustard was quite unique as well. A lot richer than typical spicy mustards and the perfect amount of spice. Overall I enjoyed my meal. Ambiance – It was very bright in here. Not in a lighting kind of way, but the colors were almost neon. I understand wanting to create a lighthearted feel for a lunch place, but honestly, it was blazing with neon colors in here. I felt like I was in a 4 year olds room the whole time. I feel like they tried to carve out a unique space with some post modern idea in mind, but I wasn’t a huge fan. Ambiance gets a C+

Service – So you order at the counter here but everyone was nice. We even had an employee come by our table to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. They also cleared our table after we were done. For a fast casual place it was some great service. Service gets an A-

Price/Quality – I think I paid $10 for my meal here which included a side and a drink in addition to my sandwich. It seemed to me to be a little higher than normal but it was tasty so not much of a complaint. I certainly won’t be racing back here for a great deal but have no qualms about returning. Uniqueness – I think some of their menu items are a little different. Above average for a fast casual lunch spot and tasty enough to be remembered. It’s enough to say they have style that would make me pick this place over others. Uniqueness gets a B-
