Tin Lizzy’s – Midtown

Grade: B-

Food – I ordered several tacos here. They have quite a selection of tacos, more than I could try in 10 visits if I liked. I ordered a buffalo shrimp taco and chose one beef and one from the chicken section. All of them were quite delicious. They were very well made as well. The tacos were definitely above average from what I get at other specialty taco places. Food gets a B

Ambiance – The inside here can get quite crowded and is a bit cramped. If I come here I always ask for the outdoor patio. It’s very nice out there and quite to be in the heart of Midtown. It’s comfortable and makes for a nice meal. Ambiance gets a B

Service – The service here was average. The guy was nice and was timely with everything. Nothings above expectations but everything was adequate. Service gets a B-

Price/Quality – Their specialty tacos here will cost you around $3 which is fair but nothing spectacular. I usually order 3 which will cost a little over $10 but only 3 tacos don’t fill me up. I don’t feel like paying $15 or more to be full here. So, while the price is find and the quality is fine there isn’t enough of a good thing to leave here completely satisfied. Price/Quality gets a B-

Uniqueness – This place is obviously its own concept but no real distinguishing features from a Taco Mac or Twisted Taco. Food is a little better and all the restaurants are in tip top shape and clean, but just not enough of a difference to choose this place over one that may be closer to me. Uniqueness gets a B-
