Mellow Mushroom – Brookhaven

GRADE: B-

Outside1

Food – ATLfoodSnob had it right in their Urbanspoon review when they said “Always Reliable”. I have never had a bad meal at a Mellow Mushroom. This place still delivered the consistency I have come to love. We got a mushroom and Hawaiian pizza. I like how their dough arrives soft and that there is height to their pizza. They use enough ingredients, cheese, and sauce to give it quite a bit of substance. It was very enjoyable. Food gets a B

Ambiance – it had the same 70’s peace theme going on as most other Mellow Mushrooms. We wanted to watch a basketball game or two but the tv’s were awkwardly placed. It wasn’t very good for that and those booths made of hard wood but not very comfortable. Its ok but nothing I go specifically for. Ambiance gets a C+

Service – Our server, Nicole, was great. She was very friendly, quick, and smiled throughout the whole night. I felt like I made a new friend. I wish people like her served at every restaurant. Service gets an A+

Food2

Price/Quality – Slightly above average quality for an average price. Like I said, I have never had a bad meal here. I don’t think you will get one that blows you away either but if you are looking for some good food at a decent price, this fits the bill. Price/Quality gets a B-

Uniqueness – I really don’t find much unique about this place. Consistency is their biggest asset. That and price/quality keeps me coming back. Also, most pizza places aren’t the types to go in, sit down, and have a fun time with your friends but this is that kind of place. It has a few qualities that are a little better than the rest that keeps me coming back. Uniqueness gets a C+
