The Mad Italian

Grade: B-

Food – The Mad Italian has been around for a long time and in that time, they have learned how to do things right. If you aren’t adverse to carbs this will be a favorite of yours, simply because they take pride in the bread they stock in their restaurant. That bread along with the fresh ingredients they use makes amazing subs. They are top notch, very flavorful, and big enough to fill you up. We also had the garlic knots which were some of the best I ever had. Also, I got to talk to a guy that worked in the kitchen for a few minutes before we left, and this guy was from Italy. It makes me have a little more confidence in this restaurant that they have someone from Italy, even if the food is the Americanized version of Italian food. Food gets a B+

Ambiance – This place has kind of a diner feel. You can see the age on the restaurant and inside, but it isn’t anything that will turn you off. Casual atmosphere and comfortable tables to eat your food at. Nothing bad to say, nothing to rave about either. Ambiance gets a B-

Service – Service was average. The waitress brought us stuff when we needed, didn’t really talk much, but nothing was ever missing. Can’t complain about it. Service gets a B-

Price/Quality – I felt like the food was a little above average and the price was average. So, it is definitely a place I will keep returning to if I need a quick meal that I know I can get without a complaint. Price/Quality gets a B-

Uniqueness – Really nothing unique about this place. It is just the closest Italian restaurant to me that provides good food at a reasonable and cheap price. There are other restaurants like this one in my area that isn’t as good but still there are plenty in Atlanta that provides the same thing this one does. Uniqueness gets a C
