Ru Sans – Buckhead

Grade: B+

Food – The key to getting good food here is knowing what to order. Some of their sushi rolls are incredible and others you couldn’t pay me to eat. For example, they have a spinach roll called popeye that, in trying it twice, is hideous. The spinach tastes like canned spinach that is past the date. However, on the other hand, they have sushi nachos that are amazing. The flavor and the sauce are unmatched. I order it every time I come. Because I have been enough, I can know what to order and have a great meal. However, this does not excuse the inconsistency. Food gets a C+

Ambiance – Nothing really special that I can name about the ambiance here, yet I love it. I feel like I am in Japan at the corner sushi bar. Nothing here is overdone to convince you that you are in Japan, but just the over décor and choice of tables gives it that feel. I just enjoy it and think it works perfectly for this restaurant. Ambiance gets a B+

Service – Some of the friendlies servers I have ever encountered are at Ru Sans. They absolutely care that you are having an amazing experience. Also, I have never been here that the manager hasn’t made a stop by the table to ensure our experience was top notch. Everything is always on point. Service gets an A+

Price/Quality – Like I said it all depends on what you order that determines the quality here. However, one side of the menu is $1 sushi rolls and while all may be basic, they are wonderful. You can get full for under $10 on great tasting sushi. Because of this, I am giving it a high grade. Price/quality gets an A-

Uniqueness – I think you will find quite a few items on the menu that are unique to this restaurant. I also think the service is uncommon and the ambiance fits a sushi restaurant better than most. Taking all that together, I feel this place has a nice uniqueness about it. Uniqueness gets a B+
